This week we began our class with talking about the importance of planning an online or blended course with purpose, equity, and impacts which was really interesting to not only hear but see on a visual image ways we can do that and why we should prioritize that. After that we continued on to groups presenting their POD inquiry checkpoint assignment. This was really interesting to see what topics each group has chosen, why they chose it, and what they have learned so far. One groups topic that stood out to me was “the impacts of social media on gender identity”, this was such an intriguing topic to me and hearing the start of their presentation has made me extremely excited for when it is complete so that I can hear all of their findings. After each group presented, we each did 2 stars and a wish on Padlet so that each group knew where they thrived and then a wish on how to further their final presentation. This is very helpful because it will enhance all of our presentations and bring up things that we may not have thought of when originally creating our presentation. Lastly, we got split into break out rooms and we worked in groups on how to change a lesson plan into a more technology based lesson. Once we completed it we made a category on Padlet so that our professor and the rest of our class could see our work and ideas.
